ACTING ON YOUR FAITH IN GOD'S LOVE
Accepting one's position or status is a very difficult thing to do, especially when that status means you are nothing without a superior's help.
There are many unexplainable things in the world, and this threatens us. We hate the idea of not being in control. Because of this a lot of ideologies are developed just to prove that we are in control.
However, the fact is our power is limited. We cannot know everything. The one with the ultimate power is God. So if he knows all things, and knowledge goes with affection, God loves all things. So St. Augustine says,
"God loves each one of us, as if there is only one of us."
However, one claim atheists have concerning God's actions seen in Scriptures is that, God has favourites. But they forget that from the beginning of Scriptures, God imprinted his image on the man and woman he created, the parents of all humanity.
It was when things "went south" that God initiated a plan to rebound the relationship he had with humans. I repeat, it was when humanity fell short of the glory of God, that God sought to take our nature upon himself to redeem us.
Genesis 3:15"I shall put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; it will bruise your heel and you will strike its head."
Hence God's plan was to be the offspring of the woman, to redeem us from sin by bruising the evil one's head with the Cross on which he was crucified. So he chose for his plan a nation through whom he will bring salvation to all of humanity.
Today, as Jesus had an encounter with a Canaanite woman whose daughter was being tormented by demons, we see that God did not forget anyone when he was devising his plan. It really depends on faith in God, and acting upon that faith.
This woman accepted her status even to the extent that, when Jesus referred to the people of Israel as children, she referred to them as masters. She also asserted that Jesus possesses two natures: God (O Lord) and Man (Son of David). Thus she knows it is only Jesus who can link her to the mercies of God and grant her daughter's salvation.
Accept that you are a creature. Humble yourself and know that God loves you, and with faith in his everlasting love approach him. His love for you will be revealed in his actions towards you. Persevere.
